"JISHIN" Project

Jishin or じしん means "earthquake" in Japanese. This project was heavily inspired by earthquakes in Japan, and my memories of earthquake preparedness rehearsals in school.

Project "Jishin" took advantage of the consequences of the aftermath of different earthquakes—fallen cable poles, damaged houses, cracked streets—were top of mind as I developed my silhouettes. I incorporate details of asymmetry, draping, texture, and fringe to reflect these incredible consequences/elements.
